Adoption Update

Newsflash!

August 25 is now the official date for when everything will be ready for us to fly over and bring our children home. Tomorrow we will be making flight reservations. Although we were disappointed that they will be over in Liberia for almost two more months, this will give us time to get the house ready for them. Moving to Iowa in a very cool Victorian house has brought with it many exciting projects. This way we can complete the major ones before they come and get their rooms all spiffy. Nicole will also have more time to plan the new year for homeschooling.

Above are our beautiful children! Their middle names are their original first names. Their first and last names are what we will give them.

- Joseph Prince Josselyn

- Hadassah Oretha Josselyn

The man in the picture is Paul. He has been instrumental in making this adoption possible. He has blessed us by sending videos of the orphans, from which we chose Joseph and Hadassah. He has guided us through arranging for travel, visas, etc. Also, on his many trips back to Liberia he has brought gifts, notes and pictures from us to our children. Though we have not yet met face to face we consider him a friend and a brother.

How are we doing financially??

“Indeed I have all and abound. I am full, having received … the things which were sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, and acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God. And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 4:18-19

God has abundantly and miraculously provided for all our projected adoption expenses. We thank all of you who have helped this adoption become a reality. The children will be forever changed because of your generous hearts.
However, if you are wanting to make a donation for things needed after the children arrive (i.e. medical examinations/treatment, post placement fees, etc.) please, make checks in our name, as we have sent the fees to ACFI already.

How can you help?

- Please, pray for us as we prepare to become instant parents.

- There are several items needed or wanted here in the home for after the children arrive. See “WishList ”. Please, contact Nicole before sending anything to be sure it has not been fulfilled already.

- We plan to bring a package of supplies to the orphanage for the children who will be staying behind- clothing, toys and children’s books, etc. have been received from generous hearts and we are stuffing them into luggage! We thank you and look forward to distributing the gifts to the children when we fly over there. We are running out of space, but we could use more matchbox cars for the boys.
