----On October 5, 1974, I was born in Phoenix to my parents, Terence and Elizabeth Josselyn and grew up in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. At the age of two, I became deaf due to illness with spinal meningitis. In the face of my deafness, my parent supported me in pursuing educational excellence. Even more importantly, I am grateful that my parents were saved by Jesus and raised my brothers and me with God's love. Before adolescence I had prayed to receive Jesus into my heart, believing that He died for my sins so I may have eternal life with God. "For Christ died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God" (1 Peter 3:18) ----Unfortunately, even though I had my faith in Him, I did not continue in that faith, which stained my relationship with God. I entered Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C. with a career goal in acting, but became intrigued with video technology, completing my Bachelor of Arts in Television. On New Years eve 2000, I moved to San Diego for work at DawnSignPress, as their video production manager. Even though I was living life to its fullest, with exciting travel abroad, tackling challenging projects and endeavors, still something was really missing. ----One morning, the Holy Spirit lead me visit a Christian worship service, and the Lord spoke to me with verse, "Faith without action is dead" (James 2:26). I realized that to truly experience completeness in my soul, I myself needed take ACTION toward intimate fellowship with the living God, Christ. I thank God for His daily needed gifts, but His greatest gift is His Son. I am experiencing that Jesus is true to what He said "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly" (John 10:10) |
